Epoxy resin is made up of two distinct products:resinand thehardener. The resin is an epoxy polymer and the hardener called crosslinking agent is mainly made of phenolic polymer.
The mixture of these two constituents produces a reactionexothermic(catalysis). The curing time varies depending on theambient temperatureas well asresin / hardener ratio.
